Installed latest version of plex htpc.
Changed to correct audio device, changed to hdmi and clicked all checkboxes for formats to passthrough. Enabled exclusive audio.
But all I get is PCM from Plex HTPC.
Have no problem with passthrough playing from kodi with plex plugin.
Unrelated problem is that plex for htpc always crash on first startup attempt.

In Kodi I need to change from directsound to wasapi.
I do not passthrough audio through the same physical output as video from graphic card(AMD 6800XT). HDMI → TV and USB-C → receiver(using usb-c to hdmi adapter)
Your playback is transcoding due to bandwidth restrictions. It is transcoding to opus audio which is not a passthrough codec.
Bandwidth restrictions on network ?
This computer has 10 gigabit network and 10 gigabit wan. I guess I could try set manual servers and see if that helps. Maybe I am being proxied through your servers, can I see that somehow?
Or do you mean bandwidth on hdmi?
But then again why does it work with kodi.
Got it to work.
Changed video->(Local, remote) Quality to original, don’t know why it wasn’t set to original. Hadn’t touched that option. After that both video and audio stopped being transcoded and passthrough works.
