audio problem on windows 10

Hi I have recently switched to windows 10 from OSX so not that good at PC. I’m not getting audio from my Windows 10 computer using Plex. I can hear audio from other applications on my computer. I’ve tried using my bluetooth headphones and listening unplugged. Any help greatly recieved.

Which Plex client do you use on Windows?
Is it Plex Media Player
or the Plex Web app (which runs in your web browser)?
Do you have a tv and/or an audio/video receiver connected to the pc or are you using the sound interface of the pc for audio ?

thank you. Plex media Player and no I’m playing on my laptop - Dell XPS13

Switch PMP into full screen mode, if it not already is.

Then click on your user name, up, right
Settings
Audio

What does it say under “device type”
and “device” ?

If you are unsure, make a screenshot please.

it says, “basic” and “realteck audio/headphones” or i can switch to auto detect

it works on the web player btw

Have you set a default sound interface on Windows? Does it point to the “right” sound output?
Is this interface configured as “headphones”?
Can you select different sound interfaces in PMP? If so, try it.
