Not sure if this is just a bug or a beta bug but the Audio Resume function does not work properly on the android client. If you are playing a locally synced item it does not give you the option to resume at all. If you are playing something from the server and at any point close out of the mini player with the x it will ask you to resume but it will actually start from the beginning.
Sorry, not sure if I understood the issue.
What I’ve tried (let me know whether it’s the same):
- Synced a music item on a phone
- Played the song on the phone
- Tried play/pause (worked as expected and resumed properly)
- Closed the mini-player. I was never asked to resume (not sure what you refer with this)
Are you playing locally or flinging to another device?

Sorry about that. Let me break it down a little further for you.
I am testing this with Audio books so the audio is at least 8 hours long but the length does not seem to matter much except on a song it might be harder to get past the 1 minute play requirement and under the 90% play requirement for it to store progress.
Bug 1:
On an library with the Store Track Progress enabled on the server
I play an item from this library from the android app not synced to the device at all.
I let it play for several minutes to get past the 1 minute requirement to save progress (You can also jump to the middle)
I Stop the audio and close out of the mini player
I attempt to play the same item again and it prompts to resume from the last spot
If i hit resume it starts from the beginning or the item and not from the resume spot therefor losing the tracked progress
Bug 2:
On an library with the Store Track Progress enabled on the server
I sync an item locally to the android app
I then play the item from the local library on the phone
I let it play for several minutes to get past the 1 minute requirement to save progress (You can also jump to the middle)
I Stop the audio and close out of the mini player
I attempt to play the same item again and it never prompts to resume, it always starts from the beginning
Let me know if there is anything else you need from me or want me to test.
Thank you
Hi @astlaurent,
Thanks for such a detailed report. I asked one of the other developers to take a look, and he’s identified the two issues you reported. He’s already made a fix that is currently in review. It wont be included in the next release, but should be available very soon.
Thanks again!

Awesome, thank you. Not sure if this is a bug with just the Android client but it seems to work in the web player. If you hit play on the album it also does not resume. If you could also take a peek at that. That would be awesome. Thank you
Hi. I wanted to follow up to see if there is any headway on getting the few Android bugs resolved that I pointed out.
@astlaurent - I thought the fixes were included in one of the recent betas. Are the issues still happening you with the most recent version?
@IanDBird
The resume when playing server content seems better however there is still no resume for local synced content.
@astlaurent - Ah, that is to be expected at the moment with our current sync implementation. However, I hope we will have some more improvements to share with you very soon on this…
Ok fair enough. Glad it is being worked on
I’m wondering on the progress here too. I can resume MP3 audio tracks on the web app, but on an ipod touch and Roku player you don’t even get the option to resume when you go back to the track - it just starts from the beginning again.
