I have two Samsung The Frame TVs which I use Plex on and have both of them configured to enter Art Mode when I press the power button. If I press and hold the power button the screen turns off properly. The two TVs are:
- The Frame 2020 - Model: QE50LS03T - Running Tizen 5.5
- The Frame 2019 - Model: QE49LS03R - Running Tizen 5.0
However, putting the TVs into Art Mode whilst using the Plex for Tizen app doesn’t stop playback of either of the following:
- The currently playing music track (from a ripped CD in my music library) or,
- The background theme from a TV series which is played when navigating a show
If I play video based media (Live TV, a recorded TV show or a Movie) then the playback is stopped, along with the audio, but not the above two audio only items. This behaviour seems a little inconsistent and very annoying when putting the TV into Art Mode.
Also, If I press the back button when playing a ripped CD (From the album’s “Now Playing” screen) the audio doesn’t stop automatically, which may be intended behaviour, but then the album UI still shows the Play button (which means the UI becomes out of sync with what is actually happening) and the only way to stop the music seems to be to play another track and stop it from the “Now Playing” screen.
