I just installed plex on my Samsung Tizen (2021 model) smart tv. I logged my gf in to my server and then tried to play some music but it just throws an unexpected playback error msg. It can play movies and tv series but no music ( all my music is flac). this only happens at this device.

dude, it sort of happens to me too … at least on my new 2021 samsung qled tv.
…. but only for FLAC .flc file music. mp3‘s and so, do play allright.
(… strangly, my multichannel‘d music does play)
My 2019 samsung qled has no issues on .flc.
To me, this indicates a bug within the current PlexTV App version.
A workaround is, to play the .flc files through the TV‘s DLNA client (find it on the „sources“ menu) - cause the TV set itself can play the files - to me, this does rule out a firmware bug of the TV.

I found out as well, that the new qn85a will not play Vorbis audio as well.

Ok so I found a fix but I don’t remember it right now. It’s a setting for video that needs to be changed. And it actually affects the audio. Super stupid. I think you need to turn off the client side bitrate limit and the setting right under or over it. I know that’s veague but when I’m in front of my tv I will post the exact settings name. Only way to fix it was ok the tv Plex app settings tho
Would be great if you shared the solution. I have the same issue with my Samsung Smart QLED TV and it would be great to be able to use it a source for music as well from my Plex library of FLAC files.
One of my user have the same problem with his TV 2021 Samsung Tizen and also have a 2019 Samsung TV that plays Flac files without issues. Both TV have not the same Plex version and both are up to date.
