Lately I’ve been experiencing audio stutter when using rasplex on my Pi3. I’ve been experiencing this issue with different file formats, but I’m having alot of issues when I’m trying to play home video files that are in MTS format, packed into a MKV container. I have two Pi’s, one placed very close to the router and one at the far end of the house connected to the main router via another router which works as an access point. The access point router is set up correctly and works just fine. It’s connected to the main router via Eth. cable and both Pi’s are connected via WiFi. The problem only seems to occur when I’m using the Pi which is placed at the far end. I’ve tried to switch around the two pi’s, but the problem still occurs. What confuses me is that the problem isn’t static. Sometimes it occurs alot. Sometimes hardly at all. Restarting the Pi also seem to help, but doesn’t solve the problem, just a little less frequent. I’ve also tried to switch off the access point router and connect directly to the main router, but still it occurs. The video feed does not drop out at all, only the audio. The audio only drops out for maybe half a second or less and the frequency is very random, also watching the same file again and again. My guess is that it has something to do with the WiFi connection, so my question is. Can I change something in the audio settings that may help solve this problem, putting less strain on the connection? Any other suggestions would be very welcome as well.
