It’s happening on my Apple TV HD as well. I used the VLC app on my Apple TV to connect to plex and wouldn’t you know it…. Audio sync issue is gone. I’ll just keep using VLC until plex decides to fix this. So probably some time in 2024.

Curious, how does one connect VLC to your media?

There is a UpNP play option on the vlc app which shows my plex server, just select that.

I’ve also given up on the Apple TV app for the time being because of audio sync issues and went back to the LG WebOS player. Both going through a Yamaha RX-A4A and only the Apple TV has problems (and then only the Plex app - Netflix etc on the ATV are fine). Apple TV 4K 2022 and tvOS 16.2

Problem is that much of my content is DTS and DTS won’t pass through the ARC connection to the receiver. Very annoying. Crazy that Plex is always adding marginal features but ignores bugs and other highly desired features.

Maybe your receiver has eARC like the TV…mine does not, only ARC and ARC doesn’t pass 5.1 DTS. That’s when I bought the ATV4K. It was perfect until this started.

I’m not using ARC/eARC, but experiencing the same “audio out of sync” issue with 4K HDR content since the upgrade.

You are correct (I misspoke…it was the DTS-HD that I couldn’t pass) and I have a lot of Bluray content that came with DTS-HD that was annoying not passed.

I had the same issue with ATV 4K – Lg C1 – Sonos ARC and i asked @DaveBinM on the following post to enable a “required flag” for my plex account. After installing the beta version and getting that flag enabled, no more audio delay.
