Quick question. Have a 3.1 speaker setup upstairs and a 7.4.1 downstairs. I use Handbrake to encode my blu-ray collection typically on high quality settings. One area I am struggling with is the audio tracks.
I have nVidia shields at all of my TV’s and we use iPads sometimes while traveling. What audio tracks should I be encoding on my media? Should I just choose 7.1 with audio pass-through or should I encode stereo plus pass through? I have noticed that the plex client defaults to stereo every time downstairs where I have surround sound and I have to manually change it every time.
Thoughts?
