Yeah. Figured as much. No update from @DaveBinM on this at all. Figured I can’t switch my PVR to Plex. And yeah, can’t recommend Plex to my Australia friends because of this as well. It is what it is.
Support for the kinds of captions used in Australian broadcasts is still something we’re working to improve, but I don’t think it’s something that means no Australian could use Plex 
As a recent HomerunHD owner, and moving away from my Win7 Mediacenter server to fully rely on Plex for everything including LiveTV, having subtitles work for it would be great. I too see it give me the error ‘Recording failed. Please check your tuner or antenna’ when selecting the DVB_TELETEXT option listed when enabling subtitles. Keep working on it please, would love to hear about an update to improving the LiveTV experience. Thanks
Yeah, but it means for Live TV in Aus and those who need subtitles, we have to use a different product to Plex, which totally sucks when you love the app but just about every competitor has the feature, yet Plex it’s still coming… I am using the Channels app on AppleTV does a good job, just wish Plex had it working!

I’ve posted about teletext subtitles for Australia free to air crashing Plex / not working twice already - no oné at Plex seems to care - too hard basket I guess
Update - it doesn’t crash now just gives this
