Authenticator Codes

Hello.

I stupidly did not save my authenticator verification codes and now I am unable to log into my Plex media server on my tablet. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can fix this? I’ve looked at the FAQ section, which says you can generate new codes but you have to use an existing one to be able to do this.

Any help would be appreciated.

I suppose you’re talking about the authentication codes for a 2-factor authentication app you’re using to sign-in with Plex?
If so… it seems you just threw away your keys and so did all friends/family/neighbors with whom you stored an emergency key

Definitely don’t do that. If you can no longer use your authenticator app and you lose your recovery codes, then you will no longer be able to access your Plex account .

Don’t let that happen! Make sure that you safely and securely store your recovery codes in a place that you can access them if you lose access to your authenticator app. For instance, don’t store them on your phone, since you’d lose access to both the authenticator app and the recovery codes if you lost your phone.

I seem to have resolved the issue. I used a code given to me in the Windows authenticator app. All is working fine.
