Don't have access to my 2FA codes or autenticator app how do I log in?

I don’t think this is the right category to post in but it wasn’t possible for some reason to post in general so here goes.

I don’t have access to the 10 2FA security codes I got when enabling it nor the app because I’ve switched phone, is it somehow possible to login in anyways?. Just to be clear, I am logged in on a few devices but I cannot disable Two Factor because I need a Verification code to do that. And if I were to log out from all logged in devices I’m basically screwed.

From the support article on two-factor authentication:

Warning! : Make sure that you copy and store these recovery codes in a safe place that you can access without your mobile device. If you lose your authenticator app, a recovery code is the only way you will be able to sign in to the Plex account! These are single-use codes.

Long story short… with 2-factor authentication you really really need to take better care.
Any chance to regain the app and your respective account there? Otherwise you’re really in a bad situation.

Unfortunately I have already tried installing the same app on the new phone but there’s nothing there. I would need to scan the QR code I first got when setting up 2FA.

I hate to say it but when it comes to 2FA that’s a manual worth reading
:frowning:

Isn’t there any possible way as a fall back to disable 2FA? I’m logged in and literally only need 1 verification code and I’m good to go. On email or anything.

the verification codes are that safety net… that’s why it’s so important to store them in a safe and preferably non-digital way

Yeah well too bad I don’t have them guess I’m screwed if there’s no other option.
