I feel I have locked myself out of Plex indefinitely and there is no support but here

I was able to disable my 2FA on my server and all is good now I’ll mIake sure to keep my codes back up better next time.

I have a Plex Pass account and have been a beloved user for many years. I recently bought a new phone and like every phone swap I have made in the past, I always forget at least one thing during my backups/restore.

I cannot log into Plex on my new phone (Android app). For what it’s worth I have two other devices currently running Plex now, both windows PCs. The new phone Plex app is requiring a code from my Authenticator app.

  1. I don’t recall setting that up but am sure I am just forgetting.
  2. the Authenticator app on my phone like all apps on a new phone requires a login. This of course requires a OR Code or a Setup key. I have no idea how I can get that.

So what am I supposed to do to get Plex on my new phone and how can I avoid this in the future on other devices?

So when you set up 2FA and it specifically gave you backup codes and/or the seed to restore it you just said forget that info and did nothing to save it?

Dude, don’t patronize me. I use KeePass and had my Authenticator codes backs up somewhere I’m sure but don’t have them now. If you’re not going to help then STFU!j
