I’m finding on iOS (after I rebuilt my server from scratch) that setting the playback quality to automatically adjust doesn’t work with hevc or you get sound and no picture, but if you manually set a standard, such as 4mb 720p it will transcode.
In fact convert automatically doesn’t work on the Firestick 4K max or the Shield player itself either, choosing a lower resolution or bandwidth does work.
Only direct play works on LGC9, brother adjust automatically or recycled but rate will force transcoding, this is with 1080p files and 576i files.
I moved this to it’s own thread. Not related to the one you posted in. Let;s start with looking at 1 device. Please reproduce the issue and provide the ios logs?
