Auto Apply Ratings to Home Videos?

I’ve found some old topics on this suggesting we can bulk edit home videos to apply a “G” rating to them, so they show up under Plex child profiles. Is that still the only way to solve the issue where home videos aren’t accessible from “younger child” and “older child” profiles? This wasn’t an issue on customized profiles because I could allow videos with no rating, but I’m trying to use the pre-baked profiles to make my life easier if possible. Just curious if there’s an easy solution to this, either though auto-applying ratings to new home videos as they import or modifying the pre-baked child profiles so they can see home videos.

There’s no automatic solution but you can apply G to all items in 1 go.

  1. Open your other-video type library
  2. Select all items (select 1st item, slowly scroll to the end of the library, hold Shift, select the last item)
  3. Click Edit from the multi-selection action bar
  4. Enter the desired content rating and save the items
