Auto-fetch tag to identify the release studio of a movie (e.g. Netflix, Criterion Collection, etc)

Netflix movies have a particular signature to them - fashionable characters, plots, dialogue, etc. - which is the opposite of my taste in movies (a la Criterion Collection) - it would be nice if I could easily filter out all netflix films in my library.

Other family members do however enjoy these movies, so likewise they should be able to easily filter them.

For now, this can be done manually by watching the first 5 minutes, recognising the Netflix signature, confirming it is indeed a Netflix film, then adding a “Netflix” label to the movie, which can then be filtered by Smart Collections. Another alternative to labels would just be manual collections for Netflix, Criterion Collection, etc.

Same should go for other release studios as well, such as Criterion Collection.

You can filter by studio and use that information for smart collections/playlists.
That being said… Netflix, Amazon, Apple & Co. aren’t usually the studio that’s actually producing that content – they might be financially involved or “order” a certain movie (e.g. under exclusive license).

There’s a similar suggestion looking at that for streaming provider “produced” series, debating what role the big providers actually play (studio vs. network vs. distributor…).

Thanks, will close as a duplicate of that suggestion.
