I have been having a strange issue with the current Plex iOS app on an iPhone 15 pro
When watching a TV series or playlist with auto play enabled, the first video will play ok, but subsequent streams are played with multiple audio streams at the same time.
After trying to check, it seems that when auto play is enabled, the first video plays ok, but when the next video is streamed you can also hear the audio from a subsequent video being played at the same time or just 2 audio streams from the same video.
If I hit the back rewind button you can clearly hear 2 different audio streams being played, it lasts for a few seconds and then plays normally. Until the next video is auto played and the same issue occurs again.
I have uninstalled the app and reinstalled, signed out and back in, reset the plex cache, rebooted the server but hasn’t made any difference
The web player, Plex for Windows, Plex for Android (FireTV) do not have the issue
Further testing:
Created a small playlist (5videos) tested on Plex for Windows app with auto play enabled - all ok
Plex for iOS auto play enabled “Immediately” - 2nd video audio stream starts playing again after 10 seconds
I manually played the video on its own - no issues played through find
Tested auto play again , but with shuffle on - 1st video ok - 2nd video double audio playing after 10 seconds
It like the auto play feature has a default timer running in the background to start playing the video after 10 seconds, even when I have set the timer to “immediately”
Just replying to say “me too.” It’s very consistent and exactly as described above. I will try the rewind trick to see if that works without having to completely kill and relaunch the app, though.
Same here. I find I don’t have to fully close the app, but I close out of the second episode that plays and start it again from the menu. But the same thing will happen after the next auto play. Would love a fix.

Client Version 2025.22.0 (1195)
Platform Version 18.5
Closing the app and restarting fixes the issue, but again…only for the first video in the playlist. After that, it (seemingly) picks a random audio track from the same playlist to play on top of the correct audio track.
These are the Player Experience settings, if it even matters:
Auto play countdown (Immediately)
Passout Protection (After 2 hours)
Skip Intros (Manual)
Skip Ads in Recorded Content (Manual)
Skip Credits (Manual)
It’s pretty frustrating to not be able to watch a playlist without fussing with it repeatedly.
I thought I had a workaround, when the multiple audio streams starts, skip to the next video let it play for a few seconds and skip back to the previous one, it worked for the next couple of episodes on the playlist.
However since the most recent update, that no longer works
Hopefully someone from Plex devs will see this and reply
I have this exact same problem too. How do we get Plex to actually fix the problems their new app has caused? Is there no direct way to contact support, even for paying customers?
I have essentially stopped using the IOS app due to this bug. The symptoms are exactly as described above. As best as I can tell, this forum serves as the bugfix or feature request ticket system but I haven’t seen any acknowledgment since this began after the last major update to the app.
@OttoKerner - how do we notify the Devs of this ongoing issue with the iOS app?
The issue persists also seeing the iOS player erroring when playing a playlist on both local WiFi and remote, playing individual videos it’s ok but playlists or series playback has the multiple audio issue and random playback failures
