Ive been doing some more testing - Android, MacOS, Windows App and iOS, only able to recreate the issue on iOS devices.
Set time out between shows to immediate (doesnt make any difference if i dont change it)
Disable pass out protection (again doesnt make any difference)
Select a playlist or TV series
Shuffle the playlist or TV series, after the 1st episode finishes the second episode will start playing with the dual audio.
Recently I have been getting errors showing in the app after playing several episodes with the issue - such as āerror opening inputā or āerror in file playbackā
Mean while all other non iOS devices play the exactly same playlist or TV show fine all the way through
Weāre aware of reports of this behavior occurring for some users. However, we have so far been unable to reproduce this issue in our own testing. Weāre tracking this internally and adding new information whenever its relevant.
I have to stop/close the episode and find the next one to play after every episode. This sound issue just started recently for me but the repeat episode thing has been happening for a while.
Just here to say this has been happening for me 100% reproducible with 1 of my tv series but not with others. There seems to me something about the particular video that triggers this but only on the iOS plex app.
Can you please indicate how we can help you reproduce this problem that seems to be impossible for my phone not to reproduce? I want to give you information to fix this annoying bug ASAP.
Iāll add my iPhone 15 pro max to the list of affected devices.
My repro is:
Fresh open app
Select a show to play (Continue or shuffle show)
Wait for the first episode to finish and have it auto play the next episode (immediately or on a timer still reproduces)
Notice on play of the next episode, it will play the first episodeās audio simultaneously (it even plays from the continue mark that was set on the first episode so it isnāt just playing from the beginning but itās attempting to play the first episodeās again)
Backing out of the episode and starting the show again will fix it and subsequent episodes wonāt have double audio. So itās only the first time for me
Still experiencing the same issue. Very consistently on my iPhone 16. Often Iām falling asleep with plex still playing. Not a problem, but the double audio wakes me up since itās so annoyingā¦
