Has anyone been able to automatically create Optimised Versions of Movies to be added into a designated folder when the titles are added. At the moment I have to manually create optimised versions for each movie. it would be great if it was possible to have a setting, or create a schedule to automatically create those optimised versions. I see its not currently as setting in Plex Media Server - so>
A) It would be a good feature to add
B) Has anyone managed to create a schedule through a command-line or even small app/addin that looks for recently added titles and creates optimised versions?
If you want to create optimised versions for each and every movie in your library, there is already a way.
Open your library and without picking any movie, click on the left side on the ellipsis ( . . . )
then pick ‘Optimize’
Pick your optimization profile and remove the checkmarks in ‘Unwatched only’ and ‘Limit to x items’
This will cause the whole library to get optimized and also every new movie which is added later.
(it may take a while after new movies are added, but the optimization job will be executed eventually)
