How do i get it to work over cellular 4g lte ?
I want original or maximum quality for 1080p and 4k files but for the movies to drop down in quality if need be from original or maximum when signal strength or speed is not as good.
Then go back up if signal strength or speed is a lot better again.
This is my server on Windows 10 and client on iPhone iOS.
If the file is being direct played, this setting gets disabled. We cannot switch from being direct played to transcode. To get this to work you need to make sure it transcodes from the beginning. Some clients have the option to disable direct play, do that then it will always transcode and this auto switching will work. I can’t remember what settings the iOS app has but having the video transcode from the start is the trick to this feature.
