Is there a way to automatically have the Plex DVR detect the beginning and end of recorded movies and tv shows and delete those parts from the recording? Or at least set a timestamp at the beginning and the end?
No. Plex can perform intro detection for TV shows, and credit detection for movies. And it can perform ad detection for either. But there’s no such thing as beginning or ending detection (unless you consider a movie’s credits detection that).
