Autoplay Doesn't Stop After "2 Hours" on Xbox One Client

In documentation here, it is claimed that:

Auto-advance refers to the countdown timer on the Up Next item, which plays automatically once exhausted. It will be shown whenever there’s an Up Next item, except in the following circumstances:

  • If the user has opted out of auto-advance in the client preferences.
  • If videos have been playing without user intervention for more than two hours, and the video that just completed is > 20 minutes in length. In this case, the Up Next item will still be shown and selected such that a single click plays it.

On the Xbox One client, this does not occur. If auto-advance is enabled, it will play continuously forever. As your documentation notes, this feature is vital to “prevent having a whole television season get played through if you fall asleep.”

I know you’re constantly bombarded by feature requests/bug reports and have limited resources available, but if someone could look into this, I and many people would be extremely appreciative.

I don’t have 2 hours of TV time to test it myself, so I double checked with the developers, and you are correct.

Currently, the 2 hour time limit has not been implemented on the Xbox One client. It is something that is on the developmental list, but there currently is not an ETA for implementation.
