… and then tells me that no channels have been found.
I would be very gald if support for these standard DVB-C tuners in Germany could be added to PMS.
Is there anything I can provide / do to support you doing so? Testing things, providing logs?
Streaming via Windows Media Player or VLC works well, DVB-C is enabled and lots of TV stations are found on the device.
I could easily export a channel list from my Fritz!Box.
I have read in other threads, that TVHeadEnd should be used, but I don’t want extra devices / software become involed. I would rather love PMS DVR get the data directly from my DVB-C tuner and I would agree to help you to achieve this…
@Wiidesire Thx pal… I was aware of this, but since I operate a NAS/FireTV only Environment, I would - by far - prefer a PMS development solution. Please keep the TVHeadend + tvhProxy discussion out of this thread.
I hope for a developer or guru answer and I am willing to help them to beef up their solution by supporting AVM Hardware tuners…
I think these requests may explode in the upcoming weeks.
The biggest cable provider in Germany (Kabel Deutschland) has rent-modems (called “Homebox”, currently it’s “Homebox 3” → FritzBox 6490 Cable) and the now rolling out Firmware 6.87 finally supports DVB-C.
Previously the cable provider branding prohibited DVB-C so the integrated 4 tuners were useless.
I have 14 tuners available (1x Fritz!Box 6490 Cable, 5x Fritz!WLAN Repeater DVB-C) and would be willing to beta-test as well
Hey Guys,
I also have a FB 6490 and would like to see a native support in Plex DVR soon.
TvHeadend cant find lots of channels, so it would be very nice if you guys make it possible.
I run 2 PMS on windows and also have the possibility to test some beta version of it.
For some reason the full scan doesn’t find anything. On the list of providers, scroll towards the bottom and do a quick scan, then the channels will appear.
