AVM FRITZ!WLAN Repeater DVB-C not supported

Hi guys,

I am very glad that the AVM Fritz!Box 6490 Cable is community-supported for Plex DVR.

I would be happy to have AVM’s regular WLAN repeater (that includes a cable tuner) supported, too.

The device name is: AVM FRITZ!WLAN Repeater DVB-C
and it’s firmware (and cable tuner) has the same functionality as the 6490 Cable.

I bought 2 devices of these and they are pretty useless without Plex support.
So I would be willing to help any kind soul who wants to add support for this device. I would even send a device to that person for testing purposes…

I really hope that somebody can help.

How to get in contact with the community that supports adding community-supported tuner devices to Plex?

And I found this:

I own BOTH devices (both with the same firmware). The first has two tuners and the second 4 tuners (Plex shows two). While the 6490 Cable is configurable, I cannot see the receiver when trying to add a tuner.

I configured the device to be work as a LAN bridge, and it is configured to have a static ip address which is pingable via LAN cable from the Windows PMS server. But it does not show up when trying to add tuner hardware within Plex DVR. And if I try to add it via IP address, Plex shows that there was a problem configuring that tuner.

I tried with 1.14… version of PMS server and I am currently using 1.15.0.659 which shows the same thing…

Can please somebody try and help me? Thank you very much…

Oh, and I can watch Live TV via VLC on the receiver the same way I can do via the 6490 cable router…
