Awkward landscape layout on Pixel 9

Screenshots are with car mode on, but the effect is the exact same in default mode.

Landscape; Album art is not centered. About a fourth from the top of the screen is empty space. Also the screen space behind the camera cutout is lost (left edge in this case). Edit: Also, is the top notification bar supposed to be visible in landscape? I’ve forgotten how it looked on my previous phone.

How the top of the screen is empty in landscape:

Portrait: The app is properly fullscreen, goes behind the navigation pill and all the way up behind the front camera cutout :+1:

Landscape doesn’t support “Car View” very well.

I did say it at the very beginning, but here’s a screenshot from normal mode.

The problem seems to be exacerbated by the Pixels weirdly tall notification bar causing the empty space seem even bigger, and i’m not sure why i hadn’t noticed something like this on my oneplus 7 pro. Maybe it had some oneplus’s fullscreen setting, and a slightly taller aspect ratio or something.

TLDR: Nontheless, the artwork should be aligned in the center, no?

My main gripe is the album art, but the camera cutout not being handled the same as in portrait mode has been reported before as well.
(It’s not because of navigation buttons)
