We use MAC, Windows, iOS on all device options as players,
The background is dynamic on iOS, static on web, different from plex.tv or direct access to server, and static as well but different colour on the mac and windows players.
I personally like the dark blue which was used in the past on server based web, plex.tv, and apps, before Discovery beta was introduced, meanwhile I understand preferences are personal, hence I appreciate either a consistent dynamic behavior as in the mobile/ATV apps, or a static one that can be configurable.
