White Background

Server Version# 4.147.1
Player Version# 4.29.2

I have TWO MacMini computers. My newer version (2012 - dont judge) has USB HD with content, runs as a server and player just fine. I use the player, and the server interface to play my content just fine. I have a “Backup” 2011 Mini with Firewire HD with the exact same content, and run it as a server and player like the other. As I manage these two, so I have a good backup system, I fine the 2011 system now presents a white background that makes it impossible to see when in as a server. The player works fine. I have performed all the suggestions (Reload page, try app/plex.tv, clear history, clear cache, clear DNS) all with no. success. I went as far as trashing the Server App, downloading, and adding my libraries again. Of course, it comes back and gives me a white background. Any help here? Safari is my browser, and I have no other applications (Browsers/Ad-block/security stuff) installed as they are dedicated headless systems for one purpose.

Firstly can you offer the correct server Version from Settings / General.

Please reply also with your current Mac OS Version.

MacOS = High Sierra 10.13.6

Server Version = 1.42.1.10060

Any help with the white background issue? Any further information needed?

does it happen in other browsers like chrome?

I installed Chrome, and it works properly (Black/Grey Background). I have only tried a few things, but so far it is working in Chrome.

I prefer to have one browser (Safari), so why would it not work properly. There is nothing but plex on this machine.

For everyday Navigation use Safari and another browser say Chrome for Plex

By all means use Safari for everyday use. (Default)

Now for Plex using Chrome as a Home page. (https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/) Add both Browser icons to Dock and forget about the Menu bar Chevron for Plex to open.

I have been using Plex like this for many years and IMHO it’s a great way to go.

Since you are running an old version of macOS I’m assuming that is an old version of Safari that cannot be updated maybe.
