Can we please get a simple little backup and restore tool? Plex is a great program and im sure has a good team of programmers that could probably make this in only a few hours.
A simple tool with 3 functions.
- daily backup - set target directory and time, backsup the server data to that directory every night in case of server crash.
- manual backup- simply click backup and target directory and backs up plex server to target directory.
- restore-after installing a fresh plex server, just close the server and use the restore function and restore from target backup.
note when i say backup i mean backing up the server data and not the actual content.
Would be nice if it was cross platform, ie, backup on windows and restore on linux or mac, but not required.
People seeing this please reply something like “I’d like this too” hopefully we get enough people comenting that plex actually looks at this post.
Note: I’d be willing to even pay $100 to buy the tool, i’m sure others would too.
