I installed the Plex Media Server using plexmediaserver_1.41.1.9057-af5eaea7a_amd64.deb on Ubuntu. When I go to the web page, it does not take me through the Server setup Wizard. I need help.
I am running Ubuntu 24.04
Are you accessing the machine locally?
The setup wizard will only show up if you’re accessing the PMS from within the same subnet, using the server’s local IP. If you’re dealing with a remote server, you might need to establish a SSH tunnel or remote desktop session to achieve that.

The basic setup wizard will also not show if you already had an installation of PMS on that machine (e.g. using a different Plex account). If that’s the case and you want to start from scratch, make sure to clear the old setup‘s data.

Thanks for the answer @tom80H. I was trying to access the machine from a remote Windows machine as my server was in a separate place. I finally figured out that was the issue and was able to go to the server and configure the server.
