Basics...how do I get started?

Sounded interesting…I have a moderate iTunes library but iTunes is terrible so I thought I’d checkout PlexAmp. Downloaded it and installed it. It sent me online to sign in. Signin seemed to work, but Plexamp reported that “We couldn’t connect to any servers.” Multiple attempts yielded the same results.

I just want to know how this works and can’t get past step one. Will it import from iTunes? Does it require everything to be in PMS first? (Which by the way was a disaster the first time I tried that many months ago…star ratings, categories, lyrics…nothing imported over. Just a long list of songs. Was not interesting in starting all that over)

Any hints?

All Plex apps read from PMS. None read from iTunes.

Same problem. “No Server” Impossible. im am loged in on the plex server!

Is there a setup instruction for what to do?

You need to have a Plex Media Server with a “Music”-type library signed into your plex.tv account or a Music-type library on a Plex server which is shared with your account.
