yea basically it seems to only like the automatic setting as I couldnt even use the DNS the router defaults to

I would advice to not change the router DNS provided by your ISP. Only change your DNS in Network Panel

Are you using a VPN? That can cause issues if you quit after disconnecting your VPN Client. DNS cache can become corrupt.

Yeah, I dunno, I am unfamiliar with DNS Binding and how it functions… I also definitely have access to change my DNS at will in my ISP’s router… We may wanna wait for someone with a bit more knowledge of that particular subject to chime in… It may also help if you list your ISP and the Modem/Router model number

No VPN is running

I have one but I keep it disconnected and Plex shows my IP address so I know that is not the issue

That’s what he’s saying though, if you used it, even recently, it could have corrupted your DNS cache

yea I just flushed the cache and still same issue

yup and I got the successfully flushed dns resolver cache message

Ok, this is a shot in the dark… but you can try it, we’ve pretty much exhausted everything else…

Open up command prompt as an administrator

type netsh and hit enter

You should see something that looks like this:

netsh>

Type in dump and hit enter

Wait till it goes back to:

netsh>

Then type in ‘winsock reset’ without the quotes, and hit enter…

It should prompt you to restart your computer… restart and see if there’s a change… I kind of doubt it, but honestly anything is worth a shot at this point, lol

Alright I will give that a shot honestly at this point I am switching ISP’s in a week so who knows maybe that will resolve this issue by itself. I am really grateful for all your help it really means a lot to me. I was really pulling my hair out trying to fix these issues that happened after only like a week of using it.
