So the two issues I am having is first I cant connect to the server securely through my web browser on windows 10 and my other problem is when I do I cant get remote access to work. What I have tried so far has been I set up the manual port through the router for the remote access issues. And did some reading on the connecting server stuff but I am no network expert and all this talk about DNS rebinding is like Chinese to me. I could really use some assistance
If you have plex set to the default port: 32400
go to www.canyouseeme.org
type in 32400 in the port field
click the button.
It should say " Success: I can see your service…"
If it does not that generally means your port forwarding is incorrect…
yea it work the port fowarding is correct to be a little more specific when I hit retry for remote access it says its connected for like half a second then goes back to not available outside network.
So the above website says “Success: I can see your service and then your IP address?”
If that’s the case, you should have no problems connecting outside your network…
yup it say success but yet it still says service not available outside your network in plex
in windows go to your “Firewall & Network Protection” screen.
Does it say Private Network (active) ? Or does it say Public Network (active)?

Click on the blue link underneath where it says “Allow an app through firewall”
Then scroll through the list, and make sure all the Plex ones are checked in the Private column.

Are you using any other software firewall or antivirus? Norton, Kaspersky, AVG, McAfee, etc?

yea that worked any chance you can help me out with the secured connection issue i have tried switching the dns ip4v protocal and ip6v protocol to google but still no luck
Well, this is allowing insecure connection to your server… Which leads me to believe something is amiss with the security certificate…
As for the DNS, I definitely didn’t have to switch my DNS, I did so for other reasons, but my providers default DNS works just fine as well (for plex)… What makes you think you need to switch your DNS service?

Ok, and you did this using 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4?
I changed it in network settings but cant change it on my ISP router for some reason. Do you think that could be the issue
Possibly, when you try to change it in your ISP’s router, is there an error message or something?
