My music collection is rather a mess after having to recover most of it from a broken external HD. I managed to recover 200 gb but Plex wont scrape any files from the music folder as it's is such a mess. Is there a program that I can use to automatically sort my music collection for Plex to read the files?

I assume not the mess ist eh problem, more like missing tags. Seeing as Plex would sort the files with Tags instead of folders. But no file at all?
If the problems are tags you would need to use a program like mp3tag or tagscanner (my favorite for this) to tag them (hoping that atleast the file names are consistent, because then you can use the file names for the Tags).

I second this, this software is fantastic.
If I lost all my metadata I’d be… upset to say the least. I’d start with MusicBrainz Picard just to get some semblance of moderately organized metadata. Then I’d make corrections by hand with Tagscanner which is how I manage my metadata currently.
