I’m thinking to migrate from Jellyfin to PMS (mainly because PLEX players are more noob friendly),
And I’d like to know if I have better to run PMS on my current NAS or on a Shield TV.
The main constraint is that I need hardware transcoding. (h265 to h264)
My NAS has more power, but I’ll need to buy a licence to support hardware transcoding. (don’t need and won’t use other paid account features)
Shield TV can do it natively, and handles 2/3 streams: ok for me.
Any differences between 2017 and 2019 models (regarding PMS) ?
Can I use a samba share as transcoding folder ?
So any recommandations ?
Is PMS more stable on a platform ?
