Best tool to bulk edit metadata

Hi all, I’m looking for a tool to easily edit metadata in bulk. Example is title is currently XYZ Documentary Title 001 (Real Documentaries)

I’ve already set the title series as Real Documentaries, so want to remove this from the end of the video, but there’s like 50 of them. I’d like to be able to select multiple files and remove specific text from the title for those files

I’ve never used it but I think the tool Fordguy suggests does what you’re looking for.

If these movies or docuseries match an actual online source like the TVDB or TMDB I use this. It pulls all information automatically and renames it. This version is free

TV show format
Show Name: ${showTitle} (${showYear}) {tvdb-${showTvdb}}
Season: Season ${seasonNr2}
Episode Name: ${showTitle} (${showYear}) s${seasonNr2}e${episodeNr2} ${episode.title}


Movie format
Folder format: ${title} (${year})
File format ${title} (${year}) {imdb-${imdb}}

For metadata like tags, in the files: mp3tag (Win and Mac)

For file names: Bulk Rename Utility (Win, I don’t have a Mac option)

Both are easy to use at a high level but very powerful if you spend time to learn them.

(Note that mp3tag can also do filenames, but the typical workflow is to fix all the tags and then write out new filenames and even directory structure from the tags, which is not possible for all file types you may wish to rename.)
