just to point out i use the android music player 8 hours a day playing my 500gig on flacsā€¦ :):grin:

HELLO! Loving the new look. Two issues iā€™ve encountered.

  • No control on the lock screen
  • stuttering randomly
    • Buffering bar seems to be complete
    • For one song i tried to see if it was that particular song by allowing the song to finish and the next to start, then hitting back to replay the stuttering song however this time no stuttering.
    • Playback info: direct Play, 128 kbps, mp3, direct play(MP3 Stereo)

Samsung S7, Android 8.0, kernal 3.18.71
My logs are avail for DM.

Can you confirm what you mean by this one please @sekthree? When the app is playing in the background on my phone I get a notification on my homescreen which has controls.

my apologies, On my lock screen I also have controls, but the controls do nothing. Pressing pause, next previousā€¦ no response. Interesting enough, when i unlock and pause Plex, then lock my screen, the controls are no longer there, i need to unlock to start play again.

YES! thatā€™s the issue. strange enough, it appears to happen more when i have my lock screen on, when i press the home button to wake up the phone (but still on the lock screen) it goes away.

I donā€™t run Tautulli, but I can confirm that sometimes music playing in the beta Android app doesnā€™t appear in the server activity window. Along with this, my webhook appears not to fire (but thatā€™s probably a symptom of the missing activity, since webhooks are triggered by activity state changes.)

Since my last post I have updated to 7.8.0.7848 (4e4c8150). The previously reported issue with not getting any audio until after pausing/resuming playback has not occurred since the update.

my vote is to remove the rewind 10/FF 30sec buttons on a standard music library. Understand the need if the library being accessed is used for Audiobooks, maybe that can be a per-library setting. but I hate seeing those buttons during music playback as there is no reason for them.

Heyyy! Thank you guys for getting the playback speed option added back so quickly! =) Very impressed! Now if only the little Android subtitle issue was fixed the world would be right againā€¦ :wink:
