yes i do sorry for delayed response didnt have internet for 24 hours but should i delete the theme musoc and readd it ?
I touched on this here: [BETA] New Plex TV Series Scanner - #9 by drzoidberg33
You can try that but it shouldn’t make any difference. What I would like is if you could make sure the theme is in the folder, then refresh the metadata for the show and then grab the server logs for me (Settings → Troubleshooting → Download Logs).
I had completely missed the message, thank you. We hope that in the near future the channel can also be seen and can be used
on it
I don’t think this is how it is designed, so perhaps this is a feature request: Would it be possible to collect all posters from both TMDB and TVDB (for use in the manual poster picker) regardless of which is selected for episode ordering? Right now it seems if you change episode ordering provider, the poster picker UI is limited to that one provider’s option for shows, seasons and episodes.
I’m assuming the show is “Doom Patrol” that you refreshed?
I can’t see it picking up any local theme, can I also assume the theme mp3 path should be this?
volume1/plex/Shows/Doom Patrol/theme.mp3
Could you list that directory and show me exactly what’s inside there?
At the show level we have posters from all the sources but for seasons we only have the posters for the ordering you selected. We may at some point merge the posters for both but it it is a bit more complicated due to things not always matching up quite the same between TMDB and TVDB.
Thanks. Looking at that tract.tv link you shared (which is super interesting and helpful, thanks for sharing that), it seems like while there are shows missing on TMDB, I haven’t seen an example of a show that has conflicting number of seasons between the two provider, but I’m sure its possible, so perhaps the season-level is more easily achievable. Regardless, thanks for considering.
Could you try rename is to ‘theme.mp3’ (all lower case) and see if they fixes it.
I think it might still be worth it. My experience with TVDB posters has been rough. They might have had a lot more before when I initially scanned the shows in using the old agent, but when going through my season posters after an upgrade, I found quite a few seasons missing posters completely (that were available at TMDB), or using low quality ones. While there are cases where the seasons are not fully aligned, the posters for the vast majority should still work.
Similarly, I would request the same behavior for season titles/posters. TVDB season data is not very robust, and with Trakt shifting away from TVDB, most people have shifted to updating TMDB instead. I’ve been using Trakt to populate my data despite using TVDB orders, and I have not come across any glaring case where the summary/title was completely wrong. On the other hand, using TVDB data did not get even 10% of the season data Trakt/TMDB had, and the few titles/summaries it did populate were not very good.
thay did not work
Have just pushed a beta update which should address the excessive metadata refreshes for people with a lot of unmatched things.
There is also a “Unmatched” filter now in the Library view when listing by Episode so you can easily find episodes that are unmatched.
The update also fixes an issue where you could sometimes not get all the episode metadata when adding a new episode and you would have to refresh it to get the summary and rating.
Where is the new scanner sourcing content certification ratings (using TMDB as primary content source)? I have my library set to UK, but I notice a few shows have US certification ratings after refreshing metadata, even though they are certified in the BBFC database (but they are missing UK content ratings in the TMDB). Does it just use TMDB as the primary source for the certification ratings?
And is the certification rating only working on the season level? All the individual episodes have US certification ratings, even though the season certification rating is showing the UK certification.
Is the plan to leave this unmatched filter present in the TV libraries forever (please say yes) ? When checking today I had a small number of individual episodes which where named incorrectly across various shows but I’d likely have never found these without this. So hoping it remains as its very useful.
Can you even set a TV library as ‘English (United Kingdom)’. I only have the option of ‘English’. In server settings you can set ‘English (United Kingdom)’.
You can set it by going to:
Libraries → Advanced → Certification Country
Is this only in the BETA version?
I looked in Settings → Manage → Libraries → Edit → Advanced and I didn’t see Certification Country.
