I would really appreciate the ability to see ratings (if not all data available in the main library) within a playlist view. It would also be great to be able to edit the plex track info. Often creating a playlist is a starting point, from which I would like to remove some items which meet certain criteria (rated 1-star, for example).
Essentially I would prefer the playlist view to look exactly like the main library view.
Have you tried smart collections instead?
Smart collections are a great addition However there is nothing “Smart” about my initial, self curated, playlist.
The smartest part of Smart playlists when I first used them in iTunes, was their ability to recognise other playlists. That’s what made them a powerful tool. A rule for “Track is/is not in playlistXYZ”
If that was a function then it would be possible to create 3rd list as a set (or not part of a set) from 2 others. I wish the Plex PTB would do this. I don’t think it’s happening soon though.
But surely it would be easier to include more info within the playlist screens? Why should the view change at all?
There was a similar thread, which was subsequently closed because library views were incorporated into the collection. You could just create a static collection as well… That’s all I got. Good luck.
