+1 sharing a playlist. For now, i have to manually create playlist folders for each friend and create symlinks to the media files/folders. This feature will make my life much easier.
Does it simply do a direct copy, or will it remain synchronized as the original playlist is updated?
I am assuming it is a one-time thing, unless you programmatically remove and re-create the playlist.
But thanks for the simplistic example… I may try this out, and then add it to a scheduled task to keep the playlist(s) in synch…
Plex users seem to be incurable optimists.
Although this would be a feature you would expect…
This will NEVER happen.

iTunes is over 10 years old and its still a piece of wasted space too but doesn’t mean its any better than it was back then. the only reason why i need iTunes is because some family members insist in using old classic iPods instead of sticking in a 128GB microsd in a unused android phone and calling it done. Proper playlist management features are a must, along with automatic volume leveling and a embedded equalizer. I’m more optimistic of Plex than I am for iTunes. It’s sad to say but the Music section of Plex does not get used by anyone in my household - it lacks so much still. The music is in a Music Library just in case Plex decides to add in new features to bump it up. I use VLC and Media Monkey on all Android devices in the house. Plex for Movies and TV shows.

Months ago Plex changed the rules for this request by splitting it out to a new request but not taking the votes already cast over to the new topic. If this does not tell you Plex has no interest in doing this nothing will. BTW - I don’t use iTunes so I could care less what they do or how bad / good that is. I do use Plex and care what they do.
