where exactly is this information stored? it’s fairly clear that plenty of customers want this functionality, and that this fact hasn’t made it a top priority by the devs. since i want to provide access to playlists for other users, i now want to replicate the information myself into the correct place. so … where is the information stored? please tell me it is stored locally on my PMS, and not somewhere in the cloud.

Until this capability is provided natively by Plex, there is a workaround. You can “copy” you playlists to other users by installing WebTools. But remember, if you change the playlist afterwards, it will not be updated for any other users.

How hard is it to add a check box in the settings when you decide what users can see? it’s one more check box that says playlist?! how do you not have this feature amongst users?!
+1 for this feature please. I have friends set up for some non-technically inclined family members and would love to easily share the MCU movie playlist I have created.
Please like the frist post on the frist page! The developers check this post and decide if the feature is important enough to add.

This is a feature I would also like to see implemented.
Similar request – Link share from a specific show, season, episode, etc., screen on a server. If recipient has access to that server, it should open the correct server/details/key/library/metadata entry in a web or mobile app.
It sort of works now with some URL crafting (by swapping <local_ip>/web/index.html#!/ with https://app.plex.tv/desktop#!/), but a convenient button to share that automatically would be nice to have.

Made an account just to vote for this. I would love to share the Marvel Cinematic Universe (in order), among other things. That would be awesome! Also while we’re at it, can we please upload a single picture or change the default quad posters that describe a playlist? My Star Wars collection looks super dumb right now haha.
