Black Screen but can hear audio on Plex playing on TV

HI all

Hopefully someone with a better brain can help . I run my plex from my Synology NAS. Normally on the LG TV it works fine and I can watch things like a normal person but I have tried loading up some files today and I have nothing but a black screen but I can hear the audio. When i have tried to run it on my laptop I can watch everything fine… I have done all the disable hardware acceleration and the usual stuff to see if that makes a difference and it does not…

I have even restarted everything to see if that helps as well and it did not. Everything is up to date so I am stuck what to do next. If anyone has any clues or ideas that be great.

In Plex, use Get Info to check the video codec being used by the video file/s in question, the video codec being used may not be supported by your TV which could explain the black screen.

Also, Go to your TV manufacturers website and look up the supported file formats for your model of TV.

If the codec is not supported, use Handbrake or similar to change the video codec to one that is supported by your TV.

H.264/AAC/MP4 is the most supported file format to use for Video files.

That worked perfectly found some files were not right but after some work the files are now running perfectly thank you : )
