Black Screen on Movie playback only in web browser

I am having an interesting issue that when I stream a movie from a web browser, take your pick I’ve tried several, I hear the audio with nothing but a black screen. I have found a reddit post with similar issue. I followed their instructions and it worked once. But when I close out of my web browser and go back to the movie I was watching I get a black screen with audio. However, if I turn on subtitles it works. Turn off subtitles black screen with audio. While subtitles are a work around, it drives me crazy to have subtitles on when it is not necessary. Anything I can do to resolve this issue? Happening across multiple video files and formats.

Instead of activating subtitles, select a different streaming quality/bandwidth.

Or go to Settings - Plex Web - ‘Show Advanced’ - Debug
and disable one or both checkboxes “Direct Play” / “Direct Stream”.
Then test playback again.

Please state the exact codecs used in your file (you can find them in the plex media info)
and your type of web browser.
