Blank screen for a couple seconds when initiating playback

I changed from rPi2 to OdroidC2.

I have a blank screen for a couple of seconds or more when initiating playback. However I hear audio just fine during that time. So I missed the very beginning of a show or whatever visually.

I’ve played with lots of settings would have not been able to resolve this.

What can I do to resolve this issue?

I would say this maybe an HDMI handshake issue. I set a 5 second playback delay for my older AVR to talk with my projector before the content starts.
