Blank thumbnails Synology DSM7

Running Plex server on Synology NAS DSM7. On all the Plex clients I see more and more blank thumbnails in my movies and tv shows libraries. I tried deleting and recreating the libraries but that did not help. I am not using any custom images for thumbnails.

Any idea how to fix this? Currently my libraries look pretty ugly with almost every other movie or TV show as blank rectangles.

Still getting blank thumbnails even after clean reinstall. Any help please?

I also noticed that If I select to refresh all metadata in a particular library then all the thumbnails become blank in that library.
