I have decided to switch to Rasplex from Plex for Samsung as it’s very slow, clunky and flaky and development seems to have stopped.
Like what I see so far, but have a couple of questions:
I am trying to pair my Apple Wireless Keyboard (Bluetooth), I go to Rasplex Settings - Bluetooth, put the keyboard in discovery mode - and nothing happens, do I have do anything on Rasplex after entering discovery mode? DMESG confirms that adapter is working and hcitool dev returns MAC address of the adapter.
Is there anyway to use the on screen keyboard in the iOS iPad App to control Rasplex?
BT support for the raspberry pi is very sketchy. If the keyboard doesn’t work straight away then your chances of making it work are slim unless you have some super Linux skills, and Openelec doesn’t support apt-get so there’s that.
You can use your plex IOS app to control your rasplex, except you can’t at the moment because the IOS and android latest updates broke that functionality.
Does your TV support CEC, if so you can just use your TV remote to navigate Raplex. Alternatively you can purchase a Flirc receiver and use any IR remote to control Rasplex.

I use the XMBC app in remote control mode and it still works as a hold-me-over...
The remote bug was logged and I believe the fix was already written... think it is just waiting for the next release.

No it doesn't answer question 1. Bluetooth for the Raspberry Pi is not 'sketchy', if is very well supported, I have other Raspberry Pi's that work perfectly well out of the box with the Apple keyboard and I appreciate that this is with more stable and well supported operating systems. Presumably the issue is with OpenElec, or is it, as the base build has bluetooth addon and the Apple keyboard pairs fine, as these addons are not included with Rasplex, I've checked using the Confluence skin (in fact you cannot add any addons, I tried).
Presumably the Devs have stripped out anything useful to make Rasplex a 'brand' and they don't want people screwing it up and then moaning, as you say they won't even give use access to useful tools. Ah well, back to the search for an answer!
Regarding my second question, a new release of Plex for iOS broke the remote, it up to the Devs for Rasplex to fix this.
Incidentally, I have super Linux skills, just wanted a quick answer just in case I'd missed something as the manual fo Rasplex seems to be missing!
