Recently I’ve bought a Logitech Bluetooth audio adapter so I can hook up speakers to our bedroom Raspberry Pi without running cables through the room. I was very pleased with the introduction of Bluetooth audio in 1.6.0.
The audio works, the devices connect flawlessly, but there is quite some delay in the sound. GUI sounds happen about a second after the keypress and the sound in movies is off by a few seconds (it varies). When pausing and starting a movie, the delay changes (and the sound stutters).
Also, the sound sometimes distorts exactly in the way an old taperecorder does when the tape is a bit stretched or slow. It seems like Rasplex is trying to make up for the delays along the way.
Does this ring a bell for anyone?
- I use a Raspi 3 with Rasplex 1.6.2, fresh image.
- I use this adapter: http://www.logitech.com/en-us/product/bluetooth-audio-adapter. The specs do not list a Bluetooth-version, but I believe it is 3.0. I hope that is no problem, as I saw Bluetooth dongles for Raspi 2 need to be 4.1.
Really hoping someone can shed some light on this.
Regards, Vincent
Edit: forgot to say that the Logitech Bluetooth adapter works flawlessly with 2 laptops and 2 different phones I’ve tested with.
