Brief preliminary feedback

Writing on the phone, so I’ll make it short. I joined the beta today on iOS and I like the overall layout. The Watchlist being more visible is awesome.

A bug: I went to the Collections page and it showed my video collections but I couldn’t open them. Is this a known issue?

Second, a request: why is there a “Delete Account” option on the Account settings page and, adding insult to injury, it’s the only option there?

I’m a Plex Pass member. I don’t even want to think about mistakenly deleting my account - that should only be doable on the website. On any mobile app it should just allow people to logout or open the website to actually go through the account deletion flow.

The way it is right now is just dangerous and error prone! Can we remove the delete account option from mobile please?

Thanks. I’ll give more detailed feedback as I use it more.

Keep up the great work.

Come on, do you really think they’d let you accidentally delete your account without multiple confirmations?

edit: Of course they wouldn’t:

my own experience was just scrolling up and down was not smooth at all, and it needed to loaded every time. That would be key to fix since it is a big part of the experience. I wonder what it’s coded in to make it cross platform. Flutter?

also being able to navigate to the show or season of a show is still more difficult than it needs to be

Thanks for testing - I certainly wasn’t going to go through it

Still, feels like, out of all the use cases related to Account (communication preferences, password, name, etc) this seems to be… awfully explicit there, to the point of seeming important.

Another remark: I found it fairly inconsistent to have the long-tap menu to show Add/Remove from Watchlist item. It would show for some, but not all, and some would show Add (when they weren’t there) and for others it’d show “Remove from” (when they were in the Watchlist) so it isn’t as if it was only showing for items that weren’t there in the first place.

I’ll keep using it and seeing how it treats me.

They are required to provide an option to delete your account if new accounts can be created through the app (source).

Sounds fair, not necessarily disagreeing with it existing, as I said, it’s more the fact that it’s the only option, but I expect that to change.

It’s React Native.
