Guide/Lineup name: ? Gracenote?
I have deleted the DVR, recreated it and think I’m now used Gracenote guide data.
Without any specific TV program in mind, is there an easier way to browse guide data beyond 1 week in the Live TV & DVR Guide grid/page? I can easily pick a day and time within the first week, but if I want to look further out (in time), I have to select the day a week from now and then click on the right “>” for half-hour increments until I loose interest and find something else to do.
I’ve been harping about this incredible stupidity for over two years. Why does Plex even bother with two weeks of EPG data if they insist on keeping the second week a secret from its users. And it would be so easy to fix. Just add more days to the date picker in the grid. I never see a Plex response on this. I mean, how on earth can this be explained? It defies basic common sense.
As a work-around or maybe as intended, while I am on the Live TV & DVR page, I can select the Browse tab and change the view to “By Airings” and then click Airing so the view is descending. This may work.
I also only have one week of guide data. Even when I do the trick of browse/airings I see the latest date as January 2nd. I manually refreshed the guide data and nothing changed. Ideas?
You should be able to determine whether you are on the new Gracenote guide data by looking at the DVR configuration and whether you see a number of channels in parenthesis.
My guide data with Gracenote currently goes out to Friday, Jan 8 at 7:00 pm. Where it then starts showing Unknown Airings.

I do wish if it is Plex’s intention we schedule recordings from the web app - or another device app that is considered ‘More User Friendly’ (by users) - Plex should just come out and say that’s the best they can do 'cause as far as I’m concerned ‘The Update We’ve All Been Waiting for’… I’m still waiting for.
So killing my DVR for a 2nd time and going through setup again did extend my guide data through January 9th as of today. Not sure why I need to do it twice in the last week. I really wish there was a way to schedule a season pass for shows not yet in the guide like you can on almost every other DVR.
@johnm_ColaSC, how did you get the guide displaying Friday, Jan 08? Is there a feature I’m missing, or did you click the right arrow (>) ~173 times to get there?
