BT modem, sky fibre, orbi and Plex

Hi, (UK user)

I can’t access my Plex server since moving to Orbi server through SKY. I understand I can’t put SKY Hub in bridge mode so I’m toying with the idea of purchasing a BT modem via eBay. If I do this how easy is the set up or is it a simple plug and play type thing?

I had previously used Airport express and had no issues accessing plex but as orbi is a router I assume that’s why I’m having issues.

Check if your port 32400 is open with Network utility. If it’s not then you will need to port forward that port or allow a rule for firewall.

Network utility find it with spotlight.
Firewall setting : System Preferences/ Security & Privacy/ Firewall ( Admin Password)

Thanks. The rule says that it allows all connections from Plex Server.

It’s weird as it says that it’s not connected for remote access but when I try Plex on mobile network it works. I’ve had this before and it eventually stops working.
