Morning all,
I am quite new plex and so far loving the application. I have all my films on my PC and stream to other devices. I am having one problem which I really hoping some one can help me with.
If I stream a film using the PS4 App every thing works fine until around 42-48 minutes then it just starts buffering. If I exit the film and then resume it will work again with no problems for another 42-48 minutes and buffer again
Does anyone have any ideas on how I could fix this??

what speed computer are you using to transcode with maybe its not fast enugh or somthing seems wierd at 40min marks.
I got the same problem. I7 computer transcoding and connection is 100mbit to 100mbit. Got buffering with 10.5 Mbit quality and 8 Mbit.

I have an Alienware i7 3.40GHz with 12GB of ram so I'm pretty sure its not my PC :-)
Also my son streams from his Xbox one and does not have this problem?

wierd issues for sure im using a i7 930@4.2ghz with 6gigs of memory to run my plex server and even 10gig 1080P files dont buffer, One thing i did change that helped me when i first started using plex is changed the transcoder to auto but that might be defaut value and i played with it or something.
Yes just checked and the Transcoder is set to Automatic,
Having a very similar problem. Looks like there is a pattern here. I really wish the folks at Plex could troubleshoot and offer some solutions instead of us all conversing about it here.
We hear you. It's hard to reproduce and isolate since it doesn't affect all users consistently.
There's definitely a pattern but if you look closely there's almost no actionable information. Video files have a tremendous amount of variety. Figuring out which ones and why is the hard part.
Posting the media analysis is helpful. Reproducing the problem on a sample file is more helpful.
