Buffering Forever when Fast Forwarding UHD content

We experience buffering that never ends when fast-forwarding UHD content.

  • It happens whether we try to play it back via a web browser, mobile app (android), or android tv (Sony).
  • The server is an M1 Mac Mini.
  • This only happens with UHD content.
  • MKVs are created with Handbrake

Here is the ask…
Do we need to modify Handbrake settings for MKVs to be optimized for fast-forwarding with the Plex platform?
